The factory-installed spring is to stiff on the Phazer FX & RTX. Have you ever heard of guys breaking the torque link under the center shock that is because the 07's came with a weaker link. You will also notice that Yamaha replaced it with a billet piece for 08. The billet piece does not fix the harsh ride, only strengthens the link. By installing a softer progressive spring and re-valving the shock you rely less on the center shock spring and transfer load to the already stiff rear springs which softens the ride and evens out the rear suspension. Send us your shock and we will re-valve it, add non-foaming performance oil, nitrogen recharge and install the spring. This upgrade makes your Phazer ride like you thought it should have from the factory. When ordering please specify riders weight and riding style.
