These performance clutch kits were developed by Schmidt Bros Motorsports to improve the Phazers hole shot, midrange pull and top end speed. Throttle response, back shift, and mileage are also greatly improved. We recommend our cold air intakes and exhaust for full benefit. SBM custom clutch kits are available for all Phazer models including MTX and Venture Lite.

At Schmidt Bros there is no such thing as a generic clutch kit. Each customer receives a custom setup tailored to their needs.

Phazer Stage I:
This tried and true performance clutch kit is the best bang for the buck on the market.


Phazer Stage II:
All the benefits of Stage I and more. The Stage II kit comes with a custom, multi-angled billet helix. Added benefits include a more aggressive upshift, improved backshift at higher speeds, and the overdrive is built right in!


Phazer Comfort Clutch Kit:
The Phazer Comfort Clutch kit is for those who don't like the higher engagement in the Phazer models. This clutch kit lowers the engagement for smooth take-offs and maneuvering. You will experience less track spin, jumpiness, and less aggressive backshift without sacrificing performance.


Venture Lite Comfort Clutch Kit:
This clutch kit lowers the engagement to smooth out starts and low speed maneuvering. The result is improved mileage and a smoother power transition.


Mountain Lite and MTX Stage I:
Let us tune in your stock setup to keep the engine off it's rev-limiter and utilize the awesome torque and horsepower to your advantage. You will experience improved power and throttle response throughout the power band.


Mountain Lite and MTX Stage II:
All the same benefits of the Stage I kit but we also include a custom billet helix to take it to the next level. Backshift and throttle response are greatly improved at higher speeds and when mountain climbing.


Mountain Lite and MTX Stage III:
This clutch kit is for the serious mountain riders who like to tune for the days elevation and conditions. This is the ultimate infinitely adjustable clutch kit for the Phazer mountain sled. SBM designed this kit so that it could be tuned for stock engines, turbos, superchargers, and nitrous. Includes adjustable weights, custom billet helix, a spring or rollers when needed, and instructions.
