Clutch Kits-Phazer

These performance clutch kits were developed by Schmidt Bros Motorsports to improve the Phazers hole shot, midrange pull and top end speed. Throttle response, back shift, and mileage are also greatly improved. From the factory these sleds tend to over-rev to 12,000 rpm when the real power is at 11,300 rpm. Especially the MTX Mountain models which always ride on the rev limit because they are calibrated for 10,000 feet above sea level.

At Schmidt Bros Motorsports there is no such thing as a generic clutch kit. Each customer receives a custom calibrated set-up tailored to you and your Sled. SBM custom clutch kits are available for all Phazer models including FX, GT, MTX, RTX, XTX and Venture Lite.

When clutching, you find the power then clutch to it. If you plan on purchasing our Cold Air Intakes, Fuel Pressure Regulator Modification and Exhaust, we will calibrate the kit for the increased power output. Phazer Stage II:
The Stage II kit comes with a lower 3,000 rpm engagement primary spring, calibrated rivet weight combo for the flyweights, a full quiet kit, EZ-Reverse secondary shim and a custom multi-angled billet aluminum helix to take your Phazer to the next level.

Added benefits include a silky low engagement, 80% less rattling noise, easy use of reverse, awesome throttle response at all speeds, much improved back-shift, acceleration and increased top speed because the overdrive is built right in! You will really surprise people because this really wakes up the Phazer.

Phazer Comfort Clutch Kit:

The Phazer Comfort Clutch kit is for those who don’t like the higher engagement in the Phazer models. This clutch kit lowers the engagement to 3,000 rpm for smooth take-offs and maneuvering. You will experience less track spin, jumpiness, and aggressive back-shift (the “thrown forward” feeling).

Don’t be fooled by the word “Comfort”. With this kit you will see improved mileage with a lower cruising rpm, less clutch noise, comfortable/controlled use of reverse, increased power to the ground and more top speed.

Added features to our clutch kits are the addition of a Full Quiet Shim Kit. These will take the rattle out of both the flyweights, flyweight pins and roller pins. We also include a secondary clutch belt deflection shim which fixes the dreaded no shift into reverse problem that plagues Phazer owners.

Venture Lite Comfort Clutch Kit:
The Venture Lite Comfort Clutch kit is for those who don’t like the higher engagement in this model. This clutch kit lowers the engagement for smooth take-offs and maneuvering.
